Transfera opened the largest logistics center in the region

The domestic company “Transfera”, a member of the Serbian Association of Employers, officially opened one of the largest logistics centers in the region. The grand opening took place in the logistics center itself in Novi Banovci, near Belgrade.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr Miloš Nenezić, President of the Serbian Association of Employers, Mr Đorđe Radinović, President of Stara Pazova Municipality, Mr Zoran Petrović, President of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Bank in Serbia, as well as more than 250 associates and friends of the company.

Mr Miloš Nenezić, President of the Serbian Association of Employers, emphasized the importance of this investment for the local population.

“A multi-million dollar investment, outside of big cities, as well as the employment of several hundred young people from different structures, with a significant increase in business income and potential business expansion to surrounding markets, is a rare positive example of business behavior.” This is a practically applied formula for business success that can be achieved when local self-government and financial institutions cooperate with a proven businessman. I believe that this will be an example that other employers will follow”, said Mr Nenezić.

The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr Duško Radović, said that with this investment of 14 million euros, a new chapter in the development of the company began. At the opening ceremony of the Center, he announced that the goal of the “Transfera” company, which employs more than 360 people, including 100 engineers, is to continue expanding its business to other markets, as well as continuing the construction of the logistics park, whose next phase of work is planned for the next year.

“During this extremely challenging period of the coronavirus and in the midst of the current events that impacted transport and logistics around the globe, we managed to construct one of the largest logistics centers in the region in record time. I am proud of the fact that “Transfera” is a 100% Serbian company and that in nine years of existence we have achieved success that has positioned us as one of the leaders in the logistics market of Serbia and the region. The achieved results also speak in support of this. In 2021, we had 67 million euros in revenue, while for this year we expect to approach the figure of 100 million euros in revenue. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team for the hard work exhibited during this period, withouth which these results wouldn’t have been possible. Our plans don’t stop here. Our goal is to continue the development and expansion of our business to other markets, as well as the continuation of construction of the logistics park,” said Mr Duško Radović, Chief Executive Officer of Transfera, at the opening ceremony.

The new logistics center is equipped with the most sophisticated technology for managing warehouse operations, and the use of renewable energy sources has been set as one of the priorities. Transfera currently has more than 800 customs operations on a daily basis, and within the logistics center over 300 customs operations are carried out daily. At the same time, Transfera transports around 350 shipments per day in international transport. Within the logistics center is the logistics and service of the Comtrade company.

The company has 20 offices in Serbia, as well as representative offices in China and Italy.
